50 Cent is reportedly being sued for his hit Starz show, Power by a man who claims to be a real-life "Ghost," who is the main character of the show. 50 is facing two lawsuits, one for $300 million and another for $1 billion. Cory Holland Sr. is an alleged former drug kingpin whose street name was apparently “Ghost.” According to <a href="https://allhiphop.com/news/man-wants-1-billion-dollar-from-50-cent-claiming-power-ruined-his-life/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AllHipHop</a>, Holland originally filed the suit against 50 Cent, Courtney Kemp, Starz, and Lionsgate in 2021 for reportedly basing a majority of the show's storyline around him without his consent.<h2 id="h-cory-holland-sr-vs-50-cent">Cory Holland Sr. vs 50 Cent</h2>In the suit, Holland believes that the storylines were exact replicas of his life that were taken from a series of recordings he did in 2007 as part of a campaign for at-risk youth to learn the dangers of street life. Around late July or early August 2021, Plaintiff can’t remember exactly your honor, but defendant Jackson decided to come to the Plaintiff’s neighborhood, not once, but twice. This claim is thus untimely. The assault claim should, therefore, be dismissed for failure to state a claim because the First Amended Complaint is devoid of any allegations to support such a claim against Jackson.”
